Chinook School of Music Policies

PAYMENTS: A per-authorized payment plan must be in place at the time of registration.

STUDENT ABSENCE POLICY: No refunds or make-up lessons are available for student absences. If a student misses a lesson, the student forfeits the cost of the lesson. Any lessons cancelled by the instructor will be made up at a mutually agreeable time. If a student cancels or does not attend a scheduled make up lesson, the makeup lesson is forfeited.

LESSON WITHDRAWAL: One-month’s written notice (four lessons) is required to withdraw from lessons between September 1st and May 15th. The student may continue to take their lessons up to and including the final lesson date. No refunds will be issued for lessons after May 15th, 2019 for the remainder of the school year.

COMMUNICATION POLICY: Chinook School of Music uses newsletters and e-mail as our primary means of communication. Please ensure that is in your contact list to receive emails from our institution. At any time, if you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter or promotional publications, you may do so by clicking the unsubscribe button in our emails. Please note that by doing so, you may miss important information regarding your child's music lessons, performances or registration dates. 

REFUNDS: All refunds are subject to a $25 administration fee.

MUSIC SUPPLIES: Music books and supplies are not included in the registration or tuition fees. CSM carries a full selection of method books and popular music for sale. Special orders are accepted. No refunds.

SAFETY: Students must be escorted by an adult to and from the building. Children cannot be left unattended in our lower level facility.

CSM is a nut free environment.

ACTS OF GOD: Although the school expects to operate for the full duration of the school year, the school shall be under no liability for failure to deliver services in circumstances beyond the control of the school, including but not limited to, Acts of God (including fire, flood, storm, pandemic or other natural disasters), acts or regulations of public authorities, and political or social upheavals.

Chinook School of Music, their directors, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, contractors and representatives are not liable for any damages, injuries or claims relating to or arising from participation in music lessons, classes or performances or through entering and leaving the premises or facilities.
