CSM is pleased to offer mock exams for piano and voice students for the Spring Session. Our mock examinations are set up to simulate an actual Royal Conservatory examination with the exception that a mark is not given. Students are provided with written feedback in each area of the exam.
In the CSM practice buddy program, our practice coaches assist students with practicing the songs that are being studied in weekly lessons. Coaches further develop student's technique and musicianship by reinforcing effective & efficient practice techniques and help students master their musical goals. Practice buddies work alongside CSM instructors to ensure musical goals are being met.
This program is ideal for families with parents who are not always able to oversee their child's practice time.
Piano PEP is the perfect compliment to private piano lessons. Participants learn how to perform with confidence and ease in a creative and dynamic group class environment. The program is ideal for students of all ages and levels who enjoy making music and are eager to learn.
Adult PEP provides students of all instruments and levels with the unique opportunity to gather and share their music in an informal group setting. Students learn techniques to help increase their confidence for performing in front of others. Classes held throughout the year provide motivation and incentive for students to develop and expand their repertoire. Vocalists and string players have the opportunity to work with an accompanist. The CSM Performance Enrichment Program (PEP) is designed to build on your private lesson experience.
Studying theory can greatly enhance student’s understanding and enjoyment of music. Starting music theory at a young age strengthens student’s abilities to read notes and understand repertoire. Group theory programs are a great way to save money and develop peer support systems to ensure success!
