The Love of Music Society Calgary aims to assist students who are passionate about learning music although may not have the necessary means to pursue lessons and instrument costs. Love of Music partners with leading music educators and institutions throughout Calgary, Alberta to extend the reach of music education to all students.
Chinook School of Music is a proud to participate in the Love of Music Society bursary program alongside several other Music Schools in Calgary.
How the program works:
Students and families who wish to apply for financial support through the Love of Music Society may do so by applying directly with The Love of Music Society. Personal financial information provided within the application will be kept confidential.
Your application will be processed by the Love of Music Society within 14 business days.
Bursary offers are made based on the criteria provided in your application.
Students who apply for the Love of Music bursary, may be offered one or more music school location for their music studies and support. Your application does not guarantee you will be placed at Chinook School of Music.
Lesson arrangements with CSM may commence after the Love of Music Society have confirmed bursary to Chinook School of Music.
Students wishing to begin lessons before a confirmation of bursary support may do so with the payment of their registration fee and a first payment for scheduled lessons. Tuition may be adjusted once the bursary confirmation has been confirmed. Any balance will be credited to future lessons.
Love of Music Bursaries are valid until the school year closure date of July 31.
Students are required to apply and re-apply to The Love of Music Society for bursaries for each school year.
