Aldis Gislason, Piano

Aldis Gislason has a Bachelor of Education with a Major in Music, and with that has done classroom teaching in various towns & cities in Western Canada. Teaching Piano to all ages in many different settings, she has homed in on a free-flowing method of instruction; flexible in following Royal Conservatory education or just as readily teaching without a set structure.

Aldis is best described as an intuitive teacher, guiding her students with empathy and creativity. She searches for ways to stretch her students’ abilities and create breakthroughs. Her easy going and non-judgmental, yet organized and disciplined style of teaching is what makes her a deeply integrated music instructor.

Aldis Gislason is a "possibilitarian." She believes in the possibility of achieving the highest of goals, the possibilities within the education of young minds, and the transformation of a better life for older individuals. She sees the potential in everyone and aims to do whatever she can, big or small, to help others live a good life. Her experience shows that music can be a subtle and nuanced, yet incredibly powerful gateway to new heights in all areas of life.
