Jasmine Long, Strings Adjudicator

From her first violin and piano lessons at age 3 to adding cello at 4, Mrs. Long has grown into a versatile performer and educator with a Bachelor of Performance from McGill and advanced studies at the University of Calgary and MRU. She has performed worldwide as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player with ensembles like the Windsor Symphony and L’Orchestre de la Francophonie, as well as sharing the stage with Il DIVO, Disturbed, and Richard Claydermann, and studied in masterclasses with Yo-Yo Ma. Based in Calgary, she performs on electric cello, teaches, manages music festivals and competitions, and pursues passions including dance, cuisine, chamber music salon performances and arrangements, scuba diving, and tattoo design.
