Our established team of teaching professionals are dedicated to creating a lifelong love for music with accessible learning strategies. No matter your age, skill level, or experience, our instructors can help you reach your musical goals over a wireless connection!

We are pleased to offer online lessons in piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, drums, saxophone, flute, violin and cello and more.

Requirements for online lessons:

 
 

  • An instrument to practice and learn on. Ask us about rentals.

  • A quiet spot in your home to have a lesson free of distractions. Some students find earbuds to be useful if they are learning in a noisy environment.

  • A great internet connection.

  • A computer, phone, or tablet.

  • A notebook and a pen or pencil.

  • A great attitude!

  • Bonus: Our students have found that purchasing an adjustable tripod or phone stand helps in capturing the right angles for their instructors.

  • Bonus: Our students have found that having a light in front of you while you are playing gives your instructor better viewing through your device. A simple table lamp can do the trick!

You may require a music book for your lessons. Chinook School of Music is pleased to stock a wide range of music books to support your learning. In-store pickup is available at both our Macleod Trail South and North Haven locations.

Weekly Scheduled Online Lessons

Weekly online lessons are offered year round. Inquire today about rates and scheduling availability.

Recommended Lesson Durations:

Ages 12+: 45-60 minutes
Beginner - RCM level 2: 30 minutes
RCM levels 2-4: 45 minutes
RCM levels 5+: 60 minutes

Music Lesson Policies:

  • Tuition for lesson packages is processed at the time of registration.

  • Monthly tuition fees for regular scheduled lessons are withdrawn on the 1st of the month.

  • A method of payment is required on your account at the time of registration. Methods of payment are Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Visa Debit, and by request, post-dated cheques.

  • Students may book additional lessons at a per lesson cost.

  • Seniors aged 60+ qualify for a 10% discount on books and tuition.

  • STUDENT ABSENCES: No refunds or make-up lessons are available for student absences. If a student misses a lesson, the student forfeits the lesson.

  • LESSON/PROGRAM WITHDRAWALS: Students may withdraw from lessons with one month's written notice provided before the 1st day of the month. Students may continue to take their lessons up to and including the final lesson date.
