Alice Kim, Piano

Alice began her piano studies at the age of six. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Composition at Chongshin University and a Certificate in Musical Conducting and Directing at Yeosei University in Seoul, Korea. She went on to complete training in the Suzuki Method at Mount Royal University. Alice is also a Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Certified Piano Teacher and holds certifications in Music for Young Children and Music Together programs.

She is the author of Music Street Friends, a piano curriculum designed for young children to learn through storytelling. Alice also teaches group classes at the Chinook School of Music, where she enjoys building musical communities with her students.

With over 10 years of teaching and performing experience, Alice has worked as a Music Director, directing musicals for children. She is passionate about educating young learners and sharing her love of music. Alice believes that everyone has musical potential and deserves access to quality music education. Her balanced and flexible curriculum includes classical piano, jazz, popular piano, ear training, sight reading, arranging, and composition.

In addition to her teaching, Alice is currently studying Drama at the University of Calgary, expanding her artistic perspective. In her spare time, she enjoys composing musical theatre songs for children.
