Adults who have guitar playing experience or have already taken a level 1 class are encouraged to register in level 2 or 3. If you are unsure which class level is the best fit, please contact us.

This customized program will have you jamming with your friends and kids in no time! Explore strumming patterns and rhythms, learn introductory picking techniques and build a collection of your favourite tunes. No prior musical experience is necessary. This class is for beginners.

Level 2
Level 2 is designed to take your guitar playing to the next level. Explore new chord progressions, rhythms and strumming patterns and expand your collection of repertoire.

Expand your knowledge of barre chords, and explore open tunings and fingerpicking styles in this program for intermediate-level guitar players.

What You Need for Class
- Guitar. Rentals are available at Chinook School of Music for $33.00/month +GST. Please arrive early to your class if you require a rental.
- A binder or folder to keep sheet music and notes in and a pen or pencil.
- Guitar picks. Picks can be purchased in packs for $7.00 +GST at Chinook School of Music.
- Guitar tuner. Chinook School of Music stocks Snark Tuners for $25.99 +GST Chris - check price.. You can also download the "Guitar Tuna" app for your smartphone which works as a tuner. Click for Apple. Click for Android.

This program is non-refundable after the first class of the session. Refunds requested prior to the first class are subject to a $50 administration fee. Refunds and credits are not provided for student absences. Any classes canceled by an instructor will be made up at the end of the session.

Steps for booking into this class:
If you are a new client, create a new Wellnessliving account for yourself and add your family members. If you are an existing client, login to your account.
On your profile → Click the "Book Now" tab in the top menu.
Select the program you want using filters if applicable and follow the steps to register your family member and pay for your class. Confirmations will be sent by email.
