All recitals are approximately 60-75 minutes in length and feature students of all skill levels and instruments.

Location and Parking: cSPACE Marda Loop
Spring Recitals will take place in the theatre at cSPACE Marda Loop located at 1721 29 Ave SW, Calgary, AB. There is a surface parking lot located off 29th Avenue as well as street parking, especially on the historical side of the building on 30th Ave SW. Overflow parking is available at the Marda Loop Community Association at 3130 16 St SW.
Recital Tickets
All family members and guests of performers require a recital ticket. Theatre capacity is limited so it is advised to purchase your tickets at the time of signing-up for a recital. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.
Tickets are $14 +GST & fees. Infants and small children sitting on the laps of parents do not require a ticket however, if a child is old enough to occupy their own seat, a ticket is required. Tickets are not required for performers.
Refunds will not be issued for ticket cancellations after June 12th.

Accompanists for Vocal, Flute and String Students
String, flute and vocal students may require an accompanist. Accompanists are available for our recitals at a charge of $36 which includes a 15-minute rehearsal and the live performance. Your instructor will submit your music on your behalf to administration.
Rehearsals take place at Chinook School of Music South location, 3916 Macleod Trail. Please have your instruments setup and tuned before your rehearsal time. Advanced students with selections longer than 5 minutes should book two rehearsal spots back to back.

Sign up using your Wellnessliving account or the Chinook School of Music App under the “Book Now” tab. Find “Accompanist Sign up” then select “Accompanist Rehearsal at Chinook School of Music”
*Please ensure the accompanist you are registering for is the accompanist for your recital. If you require assistance, please contact administration.
Refunds will not be provided for cancellations made within 48 hours of the rehearsal or in the event of non-attendance of the rehearsal or performance.
Recital Details
Before you sign up, the following information is required:
Title of musical selection, composer's name, student's name, age, instrument, name of your instructor. Please reach out to your instructor if you require assistance with any of this information.
Please fill out a registration form for each performance. Musicians may sign up for one performance per instrument for which they are enrolled in lessons. Musicians enrolled in a 30/45 minute voice/piano combo lesson are asked to perform either a piano or voice selection and not both. Students enrolled in a 60-minute combo lesson may choose to perform one selection on each instrument. Duets and musical collaborations with teachers and other students are welcome.
Choosing a recital time: If possible, musicians are encouraged to select a recital time when their instructor can attend. Instructor names are listed with each recital time below.
Please plan to stay for the full duration of the recital that you sign up for.
Cancelling or changing a recital time: If you're no longer able to attend the recital time you've selected, please notify us as soon as possible. While we'll do our best to accommodate changes, spaces are limited and recitals fill up quickly. No recital changes will be accepted after June 12th.
Adult Student Recitals: Sunday, June 22, 4:00pm and 6:30pm are specifically dedicated for adult solo performances and group programs.
Concert attire for performers: Dress pants, dress shoes, and dress shirt or skirt or dress, hair in a ponytail or bun.

Group performers are not required to sign up for recitals (unless you are performing a solo selection). Enrollment in the class implies your participation in the scheduled performance.
