Marlowe Parry began taking piano lessons at the age of seven and has been studying with Kathleen van Mourik for six years. He has participated in masterclasses, festivals, and RCM exams. In 2024, Marlowe participated in two Mountain View Festivals of Song and Chamber Music, where he developed his collaboration and ensemble skills. His favourite chamber music ensemble is the piano quartet, and he especially loves collaborating with string instruments.
Some of Marlowe’s most loved piano composers are Rachmaninoff and Brahms. He particularly loved learning Ranchmaninoff’s Prelude in C# Minor. Marlowe is also an organist for Sunday church services and is working on mastering the organ.
Marlowe believes that learning how to play an instrument is like learning a new language, and can greatly enrich students’ lives. He is excited to share his enthusiasm for the piano with his students.
